We'll start off with the basics of good skin: cleansing. Carrie keeps her skin clean with regular soap and hot water, which she has stated in various magazines. To start with clean skin, you need to make sure not to:
•
Overcleanse: This can cause dry or irritated skin.
•
Use The Wrong Soap: Using the wrong soap for your skin type won't clean your skin as well as soap that fits your skin type.
•
Dehydrate: It's important to drink enough water during the day, not only for your body, but also for your skin. Drink 7-8 cups per day to keep your skin hydrated.
You might think that using ProActive or Clean & Clear might be better for your skin. Well, you're wrong. Natural soaps, like Dove or Burt's Bees are a healthier choice than skin creams with harmful chemicals. Read below to get some good soaps to use on your face.
• Dove Beauty Bar
Smooths and softens your skin without leaving residue or dry skin. Pack of 8 for $11. (Buy?)
• Burt's Bees Tomato Complexion Soap

Use the steps below to clean your skin.
• Step 1: Remove makeup prior to washing. Grab a soft washcloth and blot your skin to remove blush. Take a Q-tip and run it under cold water before removing eyeshadow and mascara. Blot lip gloss off with a damp sheet of toilet paper, if necessary.
• Step 2: Splash your face with warm water prior to washing. Rub the soap around in your hands, and splash it lightly with warm water as well. When your hands are soapy enough, rub your face lightly.
• Step 3: Splash your face with cold water to remove soap. Grab a soft washcloth and blot lightly to absorb water.
