Your hair must at least be chest length (or close to chest length). Use hair extensions if needed.
1. Your hair needs to be clean; in other words, free of grease, oil, shampoo, etc. If your hair was washed more than 24 hours ago, you may want to consider washing it.
2. Hop in the shower and wash your hair thoroughly. Shampoo twice (only shampoo three times if your hair's really dirty) and condition once.
3. Find a detangling spray and gently spritz some on your hair. Take a tooth comb (preferably not the one you used in the shower) and comb out the tangles gently.
4. Find your blow dryer and plug it in. Dry your hair as straight as possible; start drying your bangs first, if you have any. Be sure to section your hair evenly.
5. Wait 20-30 minutes before flat ironing your hair. For people with naturally straight hair, skip the following steps and move straight to step 8.
6. Plug in your flat iron and let it heat up for 30-60 seconds. Brush your hair while waiting for it to heat up.
7. Once your flat iron is heated up, straighten your hair. Section evenly and remember not to burn yourself.
8. Brush your hair. Take a tooth comb and split your bangs in half, leaving one half on the left side of your face and the other half on the right side of your face.
9. Make sure everything looks okay. Apply a very light coat of hairspray to hold it all together.
10. You're done!
