Your hair must at least be long enough to make a medium or long length bun in order to receive the look required for this guide (or with hair extensions).
1. Your hair needs to be clean; in other words, free of grease, oil, shampoo, etc. If your hair was washed more than 24 hours ago, you may want to consider washing it.
2. Hop in the shower and wash your hair thoroughly. Shampoo twice (only shampoo three times if your hair's really dirty) and condition once.
Before washing out your conditioner, take a tooth comb and brush out any tangles that you may have.
3. Find a detangling spray and gently spritz some on your hair. Take a tooth comb (preferably not the one you used in the shower) and comb out the tangles gently.
4. Find your blow dryer and plug it in. Dry your hair as straight as possible; start drying your bangs first, if you have any. Be sure to section your hair evenly.
5. Wait 20-30 minutes before curling your hair.
6. Plug in your flat iron and let it heat up for 30-60 seconds. Brush your hair while waiting for it to heat up.
7. Except for your bangs, curl very small waves. For your bangs, make slightly tighter curls than the rest of your hair. Refer to the image if needed. Section evenly and remember not to burn yourself.
8. Brush your hair. Make a bun. Leave your bangs loose. Refer to the image if needed.
9. Make sure everything looks okay. Apply a very light coat of hairspray to hold it all together.
10. You're done!
